NEW FIELD PAINTING
The New Field paintings explore the physical properties of mixing water and paint on canvas and how they mimic the physical properties of water and light found in Florida nature. I wanted an abstract painting based on the 3D construction of my Kid paintings combined with the color field paintings that I did in 1970-71. The paintings create a field of visual cues, that seen together as a whole, generate visual and intellectual gestalts.
